Coconut and Cilantro Savory Pancake

Experiment with savory pancakes. Traditionally made with sour idli dough but thicker than the similar crepe-like dosas. Discovered in Pune, India where it is called ‘Coconut Uttapam’.

Ayurveda Notes (help)
Fried food aggravates kapha and pitta.

Dosha: vata- pitta+ kapha+
Quality: Oily, Heavy
Tastes: Sour, Sweet,

Recipe - (Help with Cooking)
Makes: 4 pancakes
Serving Size: 1 pancake
Cooking time: 15 minutes (but 3 days to make idly dough)

1c idly dough (See our idly recipe)
1/2c coconut flakes
1/4c chopped cilantro

Mix. Griddled like pancakes with oil.
