Fried Green Bananas with Skin, Turmeric, Mustard Seed, and Cumin

Experiment cooking bananas with skins. Discovered at Dr. Lad’s farmhouse in Pune, India during Ayurveda lecture. Just before we took a short walk to the Banyan tree and the deeply cooling, dark green surface well with the tiny fish.

Ayurveda Notes (help)
Green bananas are astringent and help to bind stool. The fibers in the skin help to bulk up the stool. Oil offsets the dryness of the banana and spices help to aid digestion.
