One of the few vata pacifying green foods, avocados build ojas. Sharp basil aids digestion but barley is heavy and smooth, making this dish kapha provoking.
Dosha: Vata- Pitta- Kapha+

Mash the avocado before adding to the barley, then mix. Mix in the basil then remove from the stove after ten seconds for maximum flavor.
