Is Apples with Honey & Cinnamon Good for Me?
Find out by taking this free, easy quiz. You'll learn your body type, and whether Apples with Honey & Cinnamon is a good fit for you. Time to complete: approximately 1 minute.

ayurvedic perspective

Cinnamon helps Vata digest the astringency of uncooked apples. Honey, cinnamon and apples are drying. A wonderful dessert for Kapha dosha.

About Apples with Honey & Cinnamon

Slice in 1/4" thick circles instead of in wedges. Garnish with honey and cinnamon.

Slices taste better than wedges because less apple skin touches the tongue. The apple tastes better than the skin!

Yummy! Even my 16-year old son and his friend liked these!

I would like to share the similar recipe but that one will be suitable to Vata because apples are not raw. The ingredients are the same, but peel and dice the apple, put it in a small pot, add about 1 tbsp of water, cover and simmer for about 10 minutes. Check if apple pieces became soft. If not, simmer a few more minutes. Remove from heat and transfer to a bowl. You can mash the apple with a fork, if you like. Add cinnamon and honey. Super delicious!

I like to dice 1/2 an apple, sprinkle with cinnamon, dice the rest of the apple, and sprinkle a little more cinnamon on top. Then I heat it in the microwave for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes. Then I top it with coconut oil and mix everything together. Yum!! :)
