Called Aloo Bharta in India, a soft and spicey favorite making American mashed potatoes bland by comparison.


Cook the potatoes until soft. Mash together with the other ingredients. The onion is raw in this recipe.

John's creativity in the kitchen and delight in cooking for others comes from his family oriented upbringing. In addition to his certification in Ayurveda, John holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Harvard University.

John enjoys sharing Ayurveda within the context of his Catholic roots, and finds Ayurveda gives him an opportunity to participate in the healing mission of the Church. Jesus expressed God's love by feeding and healing the sick. That kindness is the fundamental ministry of Ayurveda as well.

Add lots of cilantro and a dash of lemon!

I'm going to be eating this a lot from now on! sooo good! I made this without the green chilis and added extra onion and cilantro. I also used a bit of dijon mustard mixed with garlic olive oil because I didn't have any mustard oil on hand.
