ayurvedic notes
Fennel and fresh ginger are perfect digestives, stimulating blood flow to the GI tract without irritating Pitta. Lime, like all sours, increases secretions and is moistening for dry Vata especially in the autumn. Garlic and yellow onions ground Vata and calm the mind.

Butternut squash is sweet, works well for weak digestion and softens the GI. When digestion is weakened by cleansing and purification the diet should be simple and easy. Butternut squash with mild spices like ginger are a good transition food back to health.
about
Tri-root is ginger, garlic and onion, a combination used ubiquitously in Asian cooking. Lime and black pepper add sour and pungent to the sweet buttery taste. Fennel adds a kick of flavor.
