At the Joyful Belly College of Ayurveda, we are passionate about answering questions just like this. In fact, we are the only US-based college of Ayurveda aggregating reports on the effects of foods. Explained clearly, practically and physiologically, this information provides a resource for your clients and your own further education.

Trying to make supportive Ayurvedic changes for yourself and your family? Vague guidelines and standardized food lists can make Ayurveda seem mysterious. Instead, we report effects that you can easily understand.

Note: The reports shared below are part of an educational assignment completed by students at the Joyful Belly College of Ayurveda. These represent subjective experiences intended to help students explore principles of Ayurveda through personal observation. In each report below, students ate the selected food for 3 days and self-reported these effects.

These exercises are not part of an FDA-regulated study, and were not designed or conducted under a clinical research protocol. They are neither investigational in nature nor scientific findings. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. They are experiential assignments rooted in traditional Ayurvedic education, intended solely for instructional use. No conclusions should be drawn regarding the therapeutic effects of any food, herb, or dietary substance based on these student reflections.

Alongside this, we also provide aggregate reports on over 1,000 symptoms free to the Ayurvedic community (see example). These reports allow practitioners to easily assess imbalanced biocharacteristics commonly present with a certain symptom.
