You feel energized, and satisfied. Your body is engineered to steer you to the foods your body needs. When food has a nutrient your body needs, it is remarkably appealing. Your body has an innate capacity to recognize food that fulfills your nutritional necessities. How does your body accomplish this exceptional task without laboratories & blood tests? Your body does not relate to food using nutritional science. Instead, it senses the characteristics of the food, its taste, color & smell to intuit its nutritional profile. Nature's methods aren't fool-proof, especially when confronted with processed food or artificial colors and flavors. You'll need to know the signs of false hunger too. Despite these limitations your sense organs can be a wonderful guide to healthy eating. Your sense organs were made to help you make healthy choices. To awaken & develop your deep down cellular hunger skills, you have to engage your sense organs when making food choices. Spend some time in the produce section of the grocery store to discern the foods your body is craving. Are you attracted to a certain fruit or vegetable? Look at it carefully. Smell it before buying. As you start to cultivate mindfulness of your cellular hunger, you'll find some of your uncanny desires have an obvious explanation, like craving ginger tea when fighting a cold, or lemonade on a summer day. Usually, cravings for seasonal fruits and vegetables come from your intelligent cellular hunger.
