The Difference Between Yogurt And Cheese.

Cheese and yogurt both begin with using live cultures to ferment the milk. This 'souring' of milk makes it more digestible. The fermentation gives it heating properties that warm up your metabolism. The gel like structure of yogurt is difficult to penetrate with stomach acids, but still much easier than cheese to digest. Cheese is a more highly concentrated form of yogurt. The sheer density makes it unsuitable for consumption in most constitutions, especially if you have a sedentary lifestyle. The density of cheese should alert you that cheese's thickness congests the blood, and can lead to mucus conditions. Yogurt also has these properties, but to a much smaller degree.

Fresh yogurt made at home is the healthiest way to consume yogurt. Among cheeses, fresh, young cheese are often the healthiest and least concentrated, funky, or mucus forming. Think feta, and fresh goat cheese.

Yogurt is extremely simple to make at home, and that way you can avoid the preservatives of store-bought yogurt. It is also possible to add spices to yogurt to make it easier to digest. Aromatic spices are a delightful complement to the creaminess of yogurt. Spices help to break up mucous and the gooey-ness of yogurt, making it more digestible. The aromatic spices will also help to reduce colic and cramping of the digestive tract. Cinnamon warms the liver, while the sourness of yogurt gently nourishes it.
