Before Christ, there were
philosophers who only looked at the sky, and
nature-worshipers who only looked at the earth. He built the bridge between them, harmonizing bodily life & contemplation, transcending all division & separateness between the soul and the body, and restoring wholeness.
He is the perfect union of Mind, Body, and Spirit, the fullness of divinity dwelling in human form. His way is the middle way between all spiritual extremes, the living harmony of heaven and earth.
In Him, the austerity of pure spirituality is warmed by bodily life and love, and the body itself is lifted into the radiance of truth. In Jesus Christ, philosophy and nature kissed. The fruit of His love was truth married to beauty.
Through Jesus Christ, the intellect finds wisdom, the flesh finds sanctity, and the spirit finds peace.
"For in Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily." — Colossians 2:9
Christ embodies the complete reality of God — not as an abstract spirit alone, but in physical form.
"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us." — John 1:14
The eternal Logos — divine intellect, truth, and reason — became incarnate. The Word (Mind) took on flesh (Body) through the Spirit, uniting all dimensions of being in one Person.
"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you…?" — 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Through Christ, the body is sanctified — not denied, but made holy as the dwelling of Spirit.
