Hot, humid weather destroys the appetite and aggravates Pitta-Kapha rashes, irritability, and lethargy. Eat a Pitta and Kapha pacifying diet favoring cold and astringent. Avoid alcohol, other ferments and sour taste. Favor bitters instead. Tikta Ghrta is a popular herb formula to reduce Pitta and Kapha in humid summer months.
