I found some info about red cabbage juice from Vital Man (Stephen Harrod Buhner). "In at least 4 studies, cabbage juice has been found to heal ulcers of the GI tract. Cabbage is high in S-methylmethionine, or SMM, formally known as vitamin U. In 1 trail, 55 people with either gastric, duodenal, or jejunal ulcers were given 1 liter of cabbage juice daily. All but 3 experienced symptom relief within 2-5 days; ulcer healing in the GI tract took from 8-23 days. Other trials reported similar outcomes. Fresh juiced daily is better that commercial cabbage juice. Other food that have shown strong anti-ulcer activity are ginger, banana, pineapple, hot red peppers, blueberry, broccoli, and turmeric
