How Does This Ayurvedic Herb Supplement Improve Wellness?

CONSTITUTIONAL NUTRITION INSIGHTS

Dashamool is gentle, earthy, and grounding, a restorative Ayurvedic formula that clears Vata from the body. To sip Dashamoola is to feel tension dissolve, breath deepen, and a calm, steady vitality return—restoring you to the quiet strength of your roots.

This warming formula is a traditional blend of ten medicinal roots often used in decoctions, oils, and enemas to relieve pain, nourish the tissues, and promote circulation.

Its blend of astringent and pungent tastes give it a dry, slightly spicy feel with just enough sharpness to clear heaviness and stiffness from the body. As a laxative and diuretic, it cleanses the body of ama.

A hint of sweet testifies to its unctuous and building nature, while bitterness signals its ability to clear inflammation.

As a nervine anti-inflammatory, it is calming, antispasmodic, and reduces pain, including joint pain. It addresses a wide range of imbalances including joint pain, lower back stiffness, sciatica, muscle spasms, and nerve irritation. It is ideal for Vata instability and excess movement.

It improves circulation, bronchodilation, and expectoration, opening the lungs and reducing mucus congestion, making dashamoola a formidable lung tonic.

Dashamoola promotes balance, vitality, and a sense of rooted well-being. Gentle yet powerful, Dashamoola brings steadiness, clarity, and deep rejuvenation to systems taxed by stress, overactivity, or depletion.

Medicinal Effects of Dashamoola Powder

Constitutional nutrition systems use biocharacteristics to classify the metabolic nature of food, hebs, lifestyle choices, your body, and disease.

METABOLIC NATURE / BIOCHARACTERISTICS

Metabolic Nature / Biocharacteristics

Ayurveda assesses metabolic imbalances through 20 main biocharacteristics (vital qualtiies). Aggravating them weakens your body and causes imbalance. By knowing which biocharacteristics are habitually imbalanced in your body, you will be able to identify and correct metabolic imbalances before you get sick. Every biocharacteristic has an opposite which balances it (i.e. hot balances cold). You restore balance by favoring diet and lifestyle choices that increase the opposite biocharacteristic.

TASTES

The 6 Tastes

Taste is used to sense the most basic properties and effects of food. Each taste has a specific medicinal effect on your body. Cravings for food with certain tastes indicate your body is craving specific medicinal results from food. Taste is experienced on the tongue and represents your body's reaction to foods. Sweet taste causes physical satisfaction and attraction whereas bitter taste causes discomfort and aversion. Kapha should use less sweet taste while Vata and Pitta would benefit from using more sweet taste. One of the first signs of illness is that your taste and appetite for food changes. The six tastes are sweet, sour, salty, pungent, bitter, and astringent. Do you crave foods with any of the tastes below?

AYURVEDA BODY TYPES (DOSHAS)

The Three Doshas / Body Types

Ayurveda is a metabolic theory of medicine that explains individual health, tendencies, and disease patterns through the concept of doshas, which can be understood as your metabolic patterns and tendencies.

Each dosha reflects a distinct metabolic nature and describes strengths & weaknesses in bodily function, and how these affect energy levels, digestion, susceptibility to disease, and many other tendencies.

Your metabolic nature not only affects your physical characteristics, but also influences your mental thought patterns, confidence, and enthusiasm.

Ayurveda balances these metabolic strengths & weaknesses to support your body's vitality and prevent recurrent disease cycles. This support is a critical aid, especially in chronic or incurable disease conditions.

The 3 metabolic body types (doshas), are Catabolic (Vata), Metabolic (Pitta), and Anabolic (Kapha).

Through dosha, Ayurveda empowers people to identify metabolic imbalances early, break repetitive patterns of disease, and cultivate habits that support long-term vitality and well-being.

Ultimately, these metabolic patterns also provide a framework for understanding yourself, including body, mind, and spiritual tendencies.

Instructions for Use:

Dashamoola Powder:

See guidelines for herbs
See contraindications below.

TRADITIONALLY INDICATED FOR
THESE SYMPTOMS

Dashamoola Powder may temper these symptoms. The suitability of any herb supplement for a condition is highly dependent on the individual. Please see your doctor before using this herb supplement to treat a medical condition.

CONTRAINDICATED FOR
THESE SYMPTOMS

Dashamoola Powder may be harmful or contraindicated for these symptoms. Note this is not a complete list of all possible contraindications. Please see your doctor before using this herb supplement to treat a medical condition.

While Dashamoola is generally safe and well-tolerated when used appropriately, there are certain conditions and situations where caution or avoidance is advised:

Pregnancy (especially first trimester): Dashamoola has mild uterine stimulant properties and may increase the risk of miscarriage or premature labor.

Heavy Menstrual Bleeding (Menorrhagia): Due to its stimulating and warming effects, Dashamoola may increase blood flow and worsen heavy periods.

Sedative Medications or CNS Depressants: Dashamoola has a mild sedative action and may enhance the effects of anxiolytics like Benzodiazepines (i.e. diazepam), SSRIs/SNRIs (i.e. venlafaxine) and herbal anxiolytics or sedatives (i.e. valerian) causing increased drowsiness, lethargy, or reduced motor coordination.

Herb Drug Interaction Risk

Here are some potential herb drug interactions with Dashamoola Powder. Please see your health care provider for more information.

“It's very relaxing. I have chronic anxiety and dashamoola has helped me a lot. I drink 1/4 tea spoon in the morning with 8 oz of warm water and it works. Surprisingly, I noticed that it also helps me with constipation. Even if I already went to the bathroom, dashamoola helps me go again. This is my favorite product I have purchased from joyfulbelly.comBonny Lurth Orem , Utah"
