Gallbladder Tonic Herbal PowderPromotes healthy flow of bile before or after gall bladder surgery. Improves fat digestion. |
Since bile is responsible for the breakdown of fats, it is the main pathway for cholesterol metabolism. Eighty percent of all gallstones are cholesterol stones, formed when the bile has excess cholesterol or low concentration of bile salts. In addition to high cholesterol in general, unwanted excess cholesterol in the bile has also been linked to hypothyroid, weight gain, low metabolism and high cholesterol in general. A fat-rich diet leads to a fatty, congested liver, which, according to Ayurveda, predisposes one to a Kapha-Pitta conditions like gallstones. Low metabolism can lead to a sluggish gallbladder that fails to empty properly, increasing the likelihood that stones will form.
Visually, gallbladder stagnation appears as a slightly dark or greenish hue around the eye in a Kapha Pitta constitution. Low grade liver toxicity and gall bladder stagnation may be experienced as a mild discomfort under the right ribcage.

Each dosha reflects a distinct metabolic nature and describes strengths & weaknesses in bodily function, and how these affect energy levels, digestion, susceptibility to disease, and many other tendencies.
Your metabolic nature not only affects your physical characteristics, but also influences your mental thought patterns, confidence, and enthusiasm.
Ayurveda balances these metabolic strengths & weaknesses to support your body's vitality and prevent recurrent disease cycles. This support is a critical aid, especially in chronic or incurable disease conditions.
The 3 metabolic body types (doshas), are Catabolic (Vata), Metabolic (Pitta), and Anabolic (Kapha).
Through dosha, Ayurveda empowers people to identify metabolic imbalances early, break repetitive patterns of disease, and cultivate habits that support long-term vitality and well-being.
Ultimately, these metabolic patterns also provide a framework for understanding yourself, including body, mind, and spiritual tendencies.
