Does anyone know about the safety of anything for detox while nursing? I haven't been able to do a whole body cleanse for 2 1/2 years (2 babies since then...) and I my thoughts are that this would be safe but would love to hear from someone. This looks like exactly what I need.
Turmeric, triphala, trikatu, and ginger are all herbs used for gentle detox postpartum available for purchase on joyfulbelly. Turmeric is especially used to purify breastmilk.

Triphala is a diuretic and can be drying for some Vata constitutions, or even wake you up at night to pee. If that's happening, try haritaki alone...
Where are your products grown and processed? Can we be sure they don't contain heavy metals?
Our products come from the top vendors in the country so we can assure our customers of purity.
This is pure organic triphala. Thanks!
Works wonderful and saved my from going to hospital! Many times over would recommend to anyone with digestive troubles so gentle and relieves abdominal pain! Hare Krsna!HariBol!
Thanks for your stellar recommendation of Triphala, Naddina! While Triphala is a wonderful remedy for digestive troubles, each case is different in symptoms and severity. We recommend a consultation with a practitioner to find the right herb for each unique client. So glad it worked for you!
Great question, Kristina! It means don't take Triphala if you are pregnant. Other types of laxatives are much better for constipation during pregnancy.
Is there a way to combat the insomnia that triphala brings on?
You may soak triphala in water overnight and drink it in the morning to avoid insomnia. Or simply drink hot milk with ghee before bedtime.
Regarding your company's "assurance" on product source and purity, can you provide specific details and documentation? Thank you, respectfully.
