A person with relationship issues has difficulty maintaining long term intimate relationships, or experiences frequent conflicts, misunderstandings, dissatisfaction, or stress within personal interactions—whether romantic, familial, or social—that negatively impact emotional well-being or daily life.
These issues might manifest as frequent arguments, lack of trust, communication breakdown, emotional distance, or a persistent sense of being unfulfilled or unsupported. Such struggles often indicate deeper underlying differences in expectations, values, boundaries, or personal needs that require attention and resolution.
Relationships offer many benefits and opportunities for self-growth. Numerous studies highlight the importance of prioritizing relationships for happiness. However, it's also common for relationships to experience strife and challenges. Understanding your tendencies can help increase harmony in your relationships.
Vata tendency in relationships is characterized by a lighthearted and pleasant personality, but can also be erratic and chaotic. In an attempt to avoid pain, Vata individuals tend to make impulsive choices. Their main goal should be to stay focused enough for follow through.
Pitta tendency in relationships is marked by smart, analytical individuals who have difficulty ignoring faults and problems, which can be uncomfortable for others. Instead of hyperfocusing on solving particular issues, they benefit greatly from a practice of appreciating others. Pitta individuals need to focus on winning hearts, not arguments, and avoid losing sight of the big picture.
Kapha tendency in relationships is peaceful and patient, but may ignore problems that need to be solved. In situations of conflict, Kapha individuals tend to withdraw and may experience depression, unresolved anxiety, and feelings of oppression. Their main goal should be to lean into discomfort and address problems head-on.
Forgive Your Parents
It may be strange to think that your relationship with your parents could be affecting your relationships overall.
But, learning to love starts with learning to love your family. Because when you love a person long enough, they start to feel like family, and you begin to see and know everything about them, warts and all.
Until you can forgive and love your parents, you cannot begin to love anything or anyone.
Building Trust
Trust is the foundation of relationship. But what establishes this trust? Do you ask individuals to trust in you, or do you follow some objective standard? What about your significant other?
You / Your Feelings / Your Understanding - This is more individualistic, but less reliable.
Some objective standard - This is less individualistic, but two people can unite according to a standard. This also allows a person to grow into something greater than themselves.
Harmony in Marriage
To increase harmony in a marriage, it's important to understand what makes each spouse happy. Men typically value respect, public community, and appreciation for building a container for marriage (i.e. overall vision for the family's future, home construction, career building).
Women frequently want to be cherished. They value direct emotional investment in the children and the individuals themselves. They crave support and appreciation from their spouse in domestic chores and homemaking.
Each spouse should contemplate the means to satisfy these emotional needs in the other on a daily basis, which can differ from spouse to spouse. This should include both appreciation and supportive involvement in these activities.
Divide responsibilities rather than sharing them. Studies show this improves marital harmony. Families where only one spouse is responsible for providing an income tend to enjoy happier marriages than two income families, for example. This doesn't exclude spouses from supporting one another in their designated responsibilities - but it does mean deferring to and helping them in this area. In another example, one spouse may be responsible for cooking meals, but this doesn't exclude the other spouse from helping with meals.
Praying together daily gives both spouses an intimate window into the deepest desires and purposes and the person they love - as well as connecting and harmonizing them to the source of all things.

HOW TO ADDRESS ISSUES IN STAGE OF DISEASE #2
STRUGGLES IN RELATIONSHIPS IS IN STAGE OF DISEASE #2 - AFFECTING BLOOD & EMOTIONS
Affecting Blood: Initially, imbalances are localized, often in the digestive tract.
As an imbalance grows, it starts to affect your body systemically, via the blood.
If you have symptoms in this category it means that your imbalances are starting to spread,
have entered the bloodstream, and are now systemic.
Pay particular attention to the biocharacteristics, tastes, and doshas out of balance systemically,
so you know how to strengthen your body as a whole, and reduce physical stress on your organs.
At this stage of imbalance you will begin to experience generalized discomfort, imbalanced emotions,
and may develop sensitivities to temperature.
It may take several weeks of strict adherence to a specific remedial diet to clear blood level imbalances.
Blood cleansing herbs may reduce symptoms.
A several day cleanse may shorten the recovery time.

Symptoms Tell A Story

Symptoms are clues that reveal underlying imbalances.
Symptoms show you where your body is weakened.
Ultimately, all disease has a root in tissues too weak to defend itself.
Ayurveda describes these patterns of weakness using doshas & biocharacteristics.
If you notice a biocharacteristic or dosha appears next to many of your symptoms,
it helps you establish a pattern that may be systemic.

HOW DOES AYURVEDA WORK?
Ayurveda starts by identifying your body type,
which identifies certain tendencies in your body to get sick (as well as identifying your strengths).
It uses body type to determine the likely root causes of your disorders.
Next, Ayurveda analyzes the nature of your disorder.
It fits all your signs and symptoms into a pattern, expressed as a combination of biocharacteristics (gunas).
For example, you may have a heat disorder, a cold disorder, or an oily disorder, etc.
This simple categorical approach shows you how to correct systemic imbalances and strengthen your body as a whole.
On Joyful Belly, we've created an extensive categorization of food so you can easily match food to your imbalanced biocharacteristics.
By eating an optimal diet that balances your biocharacteristics, your whole body is strengthened
and the conditions that created the disorder are removed. Once the root causes of the disease
are removed, the disease lessens in strength or disappears altogether. Additional remedies -
such as herbs and lifestyle practices - focused on the specific disorder, can greatly enhance
your healing.
